European Studies alumni are now included on the lists of the Department of European Studies.

Friends of Classics

The Friends of Classics is a community and alumni support group established in 1982 to encourage study in Classics at SDSU.

The Executive Board meets monthly under President Robert Wallace. The Friends have donated the contents of the Burnett Classics Seminar Room (Arts and letters 109) and have established a number of scholarships. They also support the faculty and students of the Department in many other ways. The Friends are currently engaged in a Silver Anniversary campaign to raise a million dollars to endow a professorship of Classics. They are nearly one-third of the way there.

There are no membership dues, but members typically contribute $15 to $25 annually towards the support of the Classics program. Many make donations, and some have established charitable trusts or endowments.
