The Gail A. Burnett Lecture in Classics was established in 1968 through an endowment by the late Dr. Burnett, Professor Emerita of English and Classics. It is the oldest continuing lecture series at SDSU. A version of each lecture is subsequently published by the Department for selective distribution. Also available are copies of The Burnett Lectures: A Quarter Century (1993) as our appreciation for donations to the Burnett Lecture fund or to the Department.
